Ascent Trip ReportA beautiful Sunny Cool day, I set out to do this hike along with Owens, Copperas and Winch Ponds and a quick stop at the Taylor Pond Primitive Camp area. I found the Flume Trail system a joy to hike, well maintained and marked with trails throughout for simple nature walks, mountain bikes and then some uphills including Flume Knob and Bear Den Mountain. The trail for the 1st mile was flat, no elevation gain. The last mile gets moderate for 1/2 mile and ten steep for the last 1/2 mile gaining 1300' in the mile 800 of it in the last 1/2 mile.
Great 180 degree views looking east, north and south.
