Ascent Trip ReportInstantly one of my favorite climbs on the west coast. Six hours up, three down, and lots of amazement in between. 30mph winds with gusts up to 60 kept us on our toes, and clouds whizzed by overhead as if in a time-lapse. The route is interesting and varied, and the sights astonishing. Loved the volcanic fumaroles and the intricate ice pillars covering the rock formations. Views of Rainier, Adams and Saint Helens were superb, while Jefferson and the sisters were intermittent. Mark Seguljic, who joined me on Klondike Peak in the Winds, crushed it once more as my climbing partner.
