Ascent Trip Report

Due to a long detour on the way to our starting point in Bassenthwaite (we painfully realised that the normal road between Ambleside and Keswick was still closed after last year’s flooding…) and the really bad weather – we basically did not see anything above 600 meters above sea level – our second day in the Lake District turned out to be much less rewarding than the previous day’s ascent of Helvellyn. Still, we relatively quickly bagged Skiddaw and a couple of nearby summits and got some good exercise along the way. ;-)
