Ascent Trip ReportNo views today on Mount Washington, but still not a bad day to get outside for a hike :-)
We arrived at the trailhead a little before 9am, there were several cars there already but it was far from full. Started up the trail at 09:10, reached the summit at about 11:40. Saw quite a few other hikers out and about, but the trail was far from crowded. GPS tracker app had our total distance/elevation at 9 miles/3300 ft.
Several blowdowns across the trail, but all of them were pretty easy to get over, under, or around. There are still a few patches of snow to cross, but nothing steep or icy-- not enough to bother with microspikes, but trekking poles were useful. All in all the trail is in pretty good shape, and a nice alternative to the much busier Mount Si and Mailbox Peak trails.
