Ascent Trip ReportMy first attempt on this was via Devil Tank. The road to Sand Tank is much better, and there is less up and down. I would recommend the Sand Tank approach, which is the one used to reach my GPS track.
This thing is a long, painful peak - scrambling, brush bashing, heat (the day I did it). The top is fairly exposed, but I'd still rate it class 3. For those who know the Ken Jones scale, I managed it up and down without a rope (though Dennis had generously carried a short one in case I needed it - thanks, Dennis!).
It will really help if you have some route photos for this one. Here is a link to a downloadable PowerPoint file of the photos I used, courtesy of Scott Peavy.
