| Date: | Saturday, April 16, 2016 | Ascent Type: | Successful Summit Attained | Motorized Transport to Trailhead: | Car | Peak: | Pumkpkinseed Point | Location: | USA-Washington | Elevation: | 4860 ft / 1481 m |
Ascent Trip ReportStarted up the Dingford Creek trail and left a little before the creek that drains Pumpkinseed Lake. Wonderful big mature hemlock forest on slopes up through the gap to Pumpkinseed Lake. Sometimes it got a little steep, watch out for party induced rock fall but it's all 2nd class or less. There was some rock scrambling on the ridge just below the summit. After Pumpkinseed we traversed the ridge to Galleon South, back to the pass, and down to Green Ridge Lake. We could walk across the lake because it was still frozen over and then we exited via the Green Ridge trail. One mile along the road brought us back to the Dingford trailhead and our car. |
