Ascent Trip ReportA rather easy hike for any skill level. The trail is easy to follow. We started from the Hwy 58 side and parked close to an onsen there. From the top there are great views of Mt. Yotei, Toya Lake and the Sea of Japan on a clear day, which we were lucky enough to have. You can also see the only nuclear power plant in Hokkaido in Tomari to the west. There is an ugly radio tower at the top of the peak, which takes away from the aesthetics. |
