Ascent of Burley Hill on 2016-04-02
|Date:||Saturday, April 2, 2016|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||1316 ft / 401 m|
Ascent Trip ReportThis was my fourth and final peak of the day, as I went to the last remaining RI and CT county highpoints that I hadn't been to yet. This was also the only one of the day that involved any real hiking.
I got permission to access Burley Hill from the owners of the large white house on Sears Road. They didn't have a problem with me parking by their house, and hiking through their yard and fields. There was a decent view from the far southern end of the upper field, and then I followed some paths through the woods up to the summit. While the summit is wooded, I did get some limited views, with no leaves on the trees.
