Ascent of Cache Creek Ridge on 2016-03-30Date: | Wednesday, March 30, 2016 | Ascent Type: | Successful Summit Attained | Peak: | Cache Creek Ridge | Location: | USA-California | Elevation: | 2192 ft / 668 m |
Ascent Trip ReportAfter seeing the spectacular wildflowers on last week's hike on Cortina Ridge, I knew I had to return to the Cache Creek area at least once more before everything turns brown for the summer. Jim was able to come along too, so we did a car shuttle from Judge Davis TH to the northern end of High Bridge. (We thought Bear Creek would be running too high to cross.) We were not disappointed with the scenery -- a mixture of burned and unburned areas making for an interesting tapestry of colors and textures. 12 miles; 1,400 feet gain. 5h20 |
