Ascent Trip ReportThe main area is now a subdivision, with a lovely wide dirt road taking you straight to the high ground. I thought the very highest point was in the yard just west of the house on the corner. Area 2 was very scenic. I thought the highest ground was near the road but I walked the high ridge way out into the fields and appreciated the rather grand vista (for southern Georgia).
Plowing has affected the other tiny areas. I hiked up to area 3 from Barnes Chapel Rd and thought the highest ground was on the very northwest edge, maybe even a little outside the contour. Area 4 was unfortunately overrun with cattle and will wait for another day.
Area 5, the high ground is near the intersection or the northwest corner of the field and the intersection with Walker Rd.
At area 6 I got permission to wander behind the house into the unplanted fields.
Area 7 now has a cut road running through it (Barnes Chapel extension). Higher ground is on the north side of the road. I didn't think I needed to enter the pasture.
