Ascent Trip ReportThings get a bit confusing after you come to the end of the logging road before the final climb to the summit. The road will 'appear' to split into a Y (one going northwest while the other going northeast). If you go straight up the ridge deviating from the road you should see ribbons roughly marking the way up the slope. You may lose the ribbons from time to time but just keep heading up and you should come back across them or the faint manway eventually. One of the confusing parts is 455' past the 'Y split' on the logging road going northeast, the road will end and there are ribbons marking what appears to be another route to the summit. This way did not appeal to me at all since it was much steeper and much more overgrown with deadfall as well. I'm not sure why anyone would go this way. |
