Ascent Trip Report

4hrs 10 mins from car to summit, 2 hours back same route. Trail followed summer ascent more or less. Glad I had all my gear sans snowshoes, would not have used them. Last 500 vertical feet of trail to saddle I forged my own path. 1-3 kicks per step the whole way. Found a few grooves where it was apparent other people had made a path underneath now freshly sloped snow. Once upon the saddle the winds kicked up, major spindrift much of the way to the top. Winds probably topped around 35-40 today, glad I had my baklava. Great summit, glad to finally have both 12Ks in AZ done. Flagstaff looks so small from the top, great sights into Inner Basin and Grand Canyon just like on Humphreys.
