Ascent Trip Report

Parked at dead end on Wilderness Rd. Take the first sharp left at the first intersection you come to and start heading up toward the field. At the highest point on the road, there is a somewhat overgrown set of tire track leading up through the middle of the field, don't be misled by this, these tracks go nowhere and peter out of the middle of a patch of pricker bushes nowhere near the summit (although probably did have the best views from this spot). If you continue slightly downhill westward from the crest of the road maybe about 50-100 feet there is another much better maintained path right along the edge of the woods. Follow this up past the field to the crest of this path, when you get there you'll notice the ground rises gradually to your right and in front of you, this is where the bushwhack starts. After about 200-300 feet of bushwhacking I arrived at a pretty sizable cairn in a place where the ground didn't appear to rise anymore. Assumed this was the summit since my GPS was having a lot of bounce.
