Ascent Trip ReportWe parked in Edale and hiked along the Pennine Way to Jacob’s Ladder, which we followed up onto the Kinder Scout plateau. From Kinder Low we left the tracks and aimed for the actual high point at 636 meter above sea level, marked with a small cairn (not super-easy to find, but we did it!). Then on to the rocks at Pym Chair and along the southern part of Kinder Scout until we reached Grindslow Knoll where we turned back and followed the path down the Grinds Brook back to Edale. All in all, a nice 10-miles, 7-hours hike (for us with two kids, 10 and 6 years old). |
