Ascent Trip ReportPeralta canyon trail over Fremont saddle. Turned off trail at obvious boot path and bushwhacked across creek bed. Up the open slope (dirt / lg slab progressing to small loose rocks on dirt) finding a decent boot path marked with cairns. Roped up just above the pipe and used the good quality bolt as our first anchor.
P1: pipe to above chock stone (climbers left around chockstone) 5.6, crux at the top. 35m. 2 Good quality bolts above the chockstone.
P2: scramble up to base of summit block. Class 3.
P3: summit block. 5.2 or class 4. 30m. Two bolts with chains near the top of this pitch, of unknown quality.
Short walk up to the summit from here.
Descent: solo climb P3, scramble back to anchors above chock stone, rap down to just above pipe (60m rope...), climb down the last few moves.
Womderful day. Warm weather, clouds rolled in only when we were almost out.
First alpine-ish climb.
