|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|

Ascent Trip ReportAscended from the defunct blue mountain ski resort. Lots of ski tracks, but they only went to where the main ridge connects and undulates to the summit, I had to break trail from there though there were faint traces on the final ridge of an old track that hadn't been completely windblown and covered with new snow. I saw a helicopter near the start of my trek and found that it must have dropped off and picked a few people at the transmission towers. I heard sounds inside one with footsteps in and I knocked, but nothing came of it. Great views! Sneffels, Wilson/El Diente, Ute, Navajo, Fiftymile by Escalante, all the Henries, the Las Sals and Shiprock. A great way to tag this peak rather than a hum drum drive up. The forest was great along the ridge, no bushwacking and lots of great views.
