Ascent Trip Report

The "Blue Beaver" trail was a ten-mile climb of Lookout Mountain back in the day. I think it was a Boy Scouts thing. I was just a Cub Scout at the time. We actually started at the very bottom, at Reflection Riding, and made it to Point Park. It was a day-long climb.

Like the most of the other HPs that I claim, I don't think I actually made it to the actual HP.

Interesting about Lookout Mountain is that most of it is in Alabama. Perhaps the most famous part of it, Rock City, is in Georgia. The small northern tip of Lookout is in Tennessee. But it may be the most scenic part with its beautiful views of Chattanooga and Moccasin Bend.
