Ascent Trip Report

Out and back of the shorter way up to Bear (not doing paradise lane) up the south face. There was mostly snow covering wet leaves in the lower half. As I got up to the last 0.5 mile push to Bear, I noticed some ice and almost frozen slush in places, but I never put on my microspikes (even though I had them). I just took extra care on the descent.

A decent number of folks out there - maybe 10 other cars in the lot when we showed up on a frigid MLK day. Great views with passing snow squalls all day.
