Ascent Trip ReportStarted at Sandstone Quarry parking lot. It was 40-something degrees out and the wind was blowing and I was in a short-sleeve t-shirt. Thought I would warm up pretty well with the initial run up the trail, but it just got colder as I went higher. No snow until I got around the north side of the mountain, then the trail was completely covered and pretty slick in flat-soled running shoes. All this combined to make the trip more of challenge and an adventure. Good times. Beautiful view from the top. |
