Ascent Trip ReportThis is another random bump that is uniquely named on an Auto Club map. There are a few dozen of these peaks named on various Auto Club maps and I have yet to find any information on the origin of the names. The peak elevations on the AAA maps correspond to spot elevations on the USGS quads. Some of them are prominent, some are random bumps with a higher peak very near by. Signage in the area indicates Kammerer Peak is located in a County of Riverside Wildlife Conservation area. The land management layer on Caltopo.com shows that the northwest quadrant of section 20 on the Lake Elsinore Quadrangle where the peak is located is public land. The Auto Club map also names the drainage surrounding the peak as Edward Creek, which doesn't appear on any other maps.
