Ascent Trip Report

As the reports of Dave Comerzan and Mat Kelliher make clear, the route to Harrison, while still slippery at times and steep, is essentially brush free. The key is, after parking at the turnout, to walk past the gate down 1N09 about .15 miles to a faint use trail on the right. If you found the correct place, you cross a flattish area for about 50 yards and get into the trail proper quickly. Then it’s up and over 3867 and down and up to Harrison, where there is a flat area and an obvious register. From there, it’s a pleasant saunter over to PB 4634. As Dave Comerzan notes, there is a nice little bench and an American flag. The views are as good or better than Harrison. I found no benchmark.

It took me about an hour and 10 minutes from the trailhead to Harrison, about 45 minutes roundtrip to 4634 and about 45 minutes back to the trailhead from Harrison.
