|Date:||Monday, December 28, 2015|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||6562 ft / 2000 m|
Ascent Trip ReportThis was a scheduled hike with Pat Arredondo as the co-leader. Joining us was George Christiansen. We were in George’s Jeep and was able to drive about 0.3 miles past the parking lot. This saved us 0.6 miles and some gain. This hike was a lot harder then I remember. We went up the gully as described in the HPS peak guide. Up until the gully, it is a pleasant hike. The gully was very difficult. It required a lot of boulder hopping. We went up to the summit block but could not find any safe way to climb the summit block. Instead we followed the HPS rule, summit block are optional. We could not find any register below the summit block. Rain threaten the latter part of the day and it did mist on us the last couple of miles.
