Ascent Trip Report

Still dry conditions despite two small ski runs and their lifts being operated already (on artificial snow bands in the otherwise green/beige landscape). Only a few snow patches here and there but complete trail was dry. Pretty windy though.

The fairly direct trail (between the cable cars and the cascades) is only marked by some cairns, however, in the steep part difficult to loose. In some places erosion is caused by the path (and its users), therefore way down via dry ski run (also helping the knees).

Perfect timing: relatively few people by cable-car (still not at all lonely) combine with basically summer conditions. Just the day is fairly short when leaving the parking at 2 p.m. (sun downs behind summit) but trip was easily finished in good daylight.
