Ascent Trip Report

My 1st hike in 2.5 months .Hiked up with Dale & Nancy .Weather was perfect temps were mild & it was sunny.
Started up trail around 8:30am Stony Brook tr was in good shape a little wet & muddy in spot .1st water crossing was the hardest but still doable . We did see a little snow & ice on way up but no need for spikes at least not yet
We got to Stony Carter-Moriah jct stop & put on a layer as wind was starting to pick up .Saw our 1st hiker as he passed us on the trail .....WOW the Carter-Moriah Tr in this section is gourgeous.Views like every 500'.
We met the same hiker coming down & he told us we'd need our spikes in a bit & he was right.
Summit was great 1st time on Moriah I had no views & today we had great ones George was out of the clouds almost all day but the northern Prezi's were sock in.
Made our way down having to use headlamps for the last 3 miles .Tired but glad I was out there again. Thanks Dale & Nancy for a great hike
