Ascent Trip ReportLast scheduled Sun rise trip of the year. Stayed in a hotel nearby and took the Tirol Zugspitz bahn at 6:00 am in the dark, very erie and cool.
Saw the sun rise over the Alps, would definitely recommend it.
Unfortunately, so late in the season the gate to get to the GipfelKreuz was closed, there was also snow on the ground, so couldn't make the "real" top of German.
Had breakfast in the restaurant (u need to reserve in advance) and then shot some fantastic photos of a beautiful Bavarian sky (blue and white, like Bavaria's flag) and then came down at 9:30 am, which at that time, the cloud cover had moved in.
