Ascent Trip Report

This was a solo hike of one HPS peak and 4 Peakbagger peaks. First was 6178 and Pacifico. I took Highway 2 to 3 Points, then about 4 miles to Adler Saddle. From there I hiked 3N17, around the locked gate, about 3/10th mile to where a ridge running south from 6178 met the road. I went just around the ridge to a spot where I could access the ridge. The first 15-20 feet was steep and loose. Then I came across a use trail which I followed more or less to the summit. There was some brush but it was easy to get around. There was no register or BM on the summit, but just off the summit were two triangular markers, one upright and one lying on the ground.
From 6178, I followed a fire break to a saddle southeast of Pacifico. There I picked up a well ducked use trail that came out on the road that goes to the summit. I couldn’t find the register which is not unusual. Either someone hid it where I couldn’t find it or someone tossed it. It has been hard to keep a register on this summit. For the returned, I follow the same route to the saddle and continued on the use trail which led to 3N17. It was a little steep at the end, but better than going back over 6178.
Next I drove to the 3 Points parking lot. I started on the PCT, crossing the road and followed it a short distance to a junction. The PCT went to the left and I took the trail to the right. I followed this trail about 4/10th of a mile to a point due south of 3 Points Triple Divide. I then walked the short distance to the summit. It was basically a pile of boulders. There was a register on the highest boulder. There were few signatures. Most of them were my Peakbagger Homies. On the way up I met a couple coming down. They asked me where I was going and when I told them, they said they just came from there. They must be Peakbaggers. Who else would go to this non-descriptive bump?
I then drove down to Chilao Road and parked in the Little Pine campground parking lost. From there, I cross country straight to the summit of 5560. There was no register or BM on the summit. Just a lot of unburned branches.
Next I drove down to Clear Creek Junction (junction of Highway 2 and Angeles Forest Highway). I parked across the road. For this hike, I just followed a well defined trail up the ridge to 4202. It starts just a little past the restroom. It’s steep, but the footing was good. For 4092, I just continued down knife edge ridge to a saddle, then up to 4092. There was a register on 4202, but nothing but brush on 4092.
