Ascent Trip Report

This time a little bit better weather in fact no thunder or hail. We drove through a few little rain showers driving up.

The North terminus of Forest Rd 26N84 will get you the closest to this HP. From the car we went uphill (Northeast) until reaching the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) at the big open sandy spot. The last part of the hike was PCT to the Butte CoHP trail. Follow the metal sign on PCT.

I feel a passenger car with low clearance could carefully make it to the end of this road. I cleared most tall rocks and limbs that could have been a hazard. Take the dirt berms either at an angle or on the hillside to avoid scraping dirt. All wheel drive would be a plus. If this scares you, then a 2WD passenger car can easily do 26N84A road with no problems.
