Ascent Trip Report

Al and I were headed to NY for the masters XC nationals and both needed this county high point, so off we went. It was chilly (the coldest day so far this fall) when we took off down the trail. It was pretty run-able for a little over 2 miles, then the bushwhack. The woods were very open and the going was relatively easy. We found some antlers that Al ended up carrying out. The summit had the thickest woods. We kicked around a bit on the viewless top before heading back down. Except for a brief frozen rain shower, the weather was fine if a little cold (40 degrees). After getting back to the ATV trail we jogged back out the final 2+ miles. A pleasant COHP. Total time RT = 2:55
