Ascent Trip Report

With no climbing partners of my own, I joined Mountaineering Guide Service
at their Finger Lake (10,850') camp to climb Norman Clyde Peak and North Palisade. I ascended Norman Clyde Peak from Finger Lake with expert mountaineer Don Jensen via the North-Northeast Ridge. This is an intricate route, but was a pleasure to navigate, as Don knows it like the back of his hand. There were no surprises or pauses to figure out which way to go. A most enjoyable climb both up and down with a fine companion.
