Ascent Trip Report

Climbed by the usual route from Bishop Pass TH (9,700'). Veered off the trail at north end of Bishop Lake (11,250') and headed up the southeast talus slopes to the summit. Great views, particularly of the Palisade crest. Though a rather easy, accessible peak, Mt. Goode was not climbed until 1939 by Chester Versteeg. Chester, both an avid Sierra and desert peakbagger, introduced me in 1942 to his fledgling Desert Peaks Section of the Sierra Club's Angeles Chapter.
