Ascent Trip ReportA group of us--my new wife Marilyn (6-10-1950)and I, Paul and Bunny Kenworthy (Cornell friends), Ian & Cricket (Ann Strong) Mackinlay, Murray Brush, and his friend Al Sawyer--packed in to Sam Mack Meadow (11,600')yesterday. Today I climbed by use trail and XC up to Glacier Notch (13,000'), then followed the southwest ridge to the summit of Mt. Gayley. Cricket and Murray climbed North Palisade via the U Notch. |
