From our campsite at Consultation Lake we climbed to Arc Pass, then followed Norman Clyde's first-ascent route to the broad chute leading to the ridge between Mt. Mallory and Mt. Irvine. We descended the ridge slightly on the east side before climbing the easy SE slope to the summit. We continued from here to Mt. Mallory.
