Ascent Trip Report

Road is gated 2.3 miles from pavement at 3,300', leaving 3.7 miles of road to deal with. Glad I took a bike, pushed half the time but sweet fast ride out. Very pleasant hike, no brush, good views once you leave the trail by Jolly Mountain. Stewart had a nice dusting of snow. Some 3rd class scrambling over false summit. Went out to furthest point, a finger, but looking back, believe the main hump is the highest. Motorcycles can use the trail, one passed me several times going back and forth to stock a deer camp at the foot of Jolly.
