Ascent Trip Report

After a leisurely breakfast at Camp Baldy, four of us (Georgia & Simona White, Rhoda Goerz, and
I) parked at Ice House Canyon. The main hiking group had already left, but we soon caught up after about a mile up the trail. We continued with them up the 13 switchbacks to Icehouse Saddle and over to Kelly's Camp. A dozen or so of us left the main group to hike over to Ontario Peak, where we spent an hour enjoying the surrounding view from this pleasant spot. Then it was back to rejoin the main group at Kelly's Camp and down Icehouse Canyon, stopping en route to take a dip on this hot afternoon in the cold stream.
