Ascent Trip Report

Researched Dave Dunham's GPS track to determine the optimal route (I didn't have a LRCT trail map which would have been helful).

2:28 - Left from Castle in the Clouds parking lot, headed up turtleback mt trail.
3:26 - Turtleback Mt summit. Took a few pics, nice view of Lake Winnie.
3:30 - Departed for Bald Knob. Decided to bushwhack it down.
3:52 - Bald Knob - amazing view of Lake Winnie. Headed for Columnar Jointing Hill
4:15 - Column Jointing. The PB Coordinates for this one placed the peak someplace in Ossipee range (not that accurate). I was able to locate the hill just off the trail, and the point is marked on a lower knob. Climbed to the highest point in the area. Took in a little geology lesson on Columnar Jointing as I had also seen a large example of this in the Grand Canyon (Bar 10 ranch).
4:45 - Bridle Path hill
4:57 - Back at Car.
