Ascent Trip Report

Side trip on vacation to Disneyland. Family and I first ate at Pinks hot dogs, then went to Hollywood blvd to the walk of fame, in which we covered half the stars/walk.

Ready to view the Hollywood sign, we ventured up and parked at Beachwood drive, just shy of Hollywood Girls Camp and some horse stables/tours deal. Past several hikers and runners and saw two police helicopters. Pretty neat view of the sign and awesome panoramic views do the LA skyline and San Bernardino mountains .

Sarah and I made a quick detour to summit Cahuenga Peak, completing the trek in about 15 minutes. Wish we had more time to knock out amount Hollywood, but the rest of the family was hot and ready to get out of the sun, radiating down around 90 degrees.

We recuperated by eating at In and Out Burger, my second trip (the first about 14 years ago) and the families first. I vindicated and validated my initial reaction, that this place is supremely over-rated.

After dinner, we hit Hollywood Blvd to complete the entire walk of fame, hitting all the stars, including those on Vine Street. About a 3 hour ordeal, in total, t a quick pace.

Headed back to the hotel at Buena Park at 1950, albeit in gridlocked traffic.
