Ascent Trip ReportWe parked at the car park west of Holmbury Hill and enjoyed the views from there before descending to the village of Holmbury St Mary, after which we followed the Greensand Way more or less all the way up to Leith Hll. From the top of the old tower we saw the Shard and some other landmark London buildings but had problems spotting the English Channel. We hiked back a bit further south over the Upfolds Farm - all in all a nice 11-kilometers country walk covering the Surrey High Point (in this "Area of Outstanding Natural Beaty", as the map promised!). |
