Ascent Trip ReportParked at Saco lake with a full pack, a bunch of extra clothes and a gallon of wine. Did the A-Z trail, including Tom, over to the Zealand Hut. Took the AT from the hut back down to Thoreau falls and the Ethan Pond shelter. Crushed the box of wine with some strangers and this girl I've been hanging out with who reluctantly followed me on this death march. Slammed through the rest of the AT the following day to Jackson, came back down the trail from Jackson to the parking lot. Ended up eating some food in NoCo and then making it back to Portland before midnight.
Yeah the trail over Mt. Webster was the literal worst with like 19 false summits. Don't ever go there, Simba. |
