Ascent Trip ReportFollowed Senate Creek road to where it terminates a the bottom of the valley SW of Galena Peak (not Senate Creek drainage) around 8000' elevation topo. Hiked NE and made ridge containing USMM 1 9090'. This ridge heads mainly E to the main ridge of the mountain range. Once the main ridge is gained it is a quick hike NE to Galena Peak. This is a great hike to take someone new to peak bagging. The elevation gain is intense (3K' in 2 miles) but the risk is low.
