Ascent Trip ReportHiked from the Polish side. Had to park at Lysa Polana as the Palenica Bialczanska parking was full and the road was closed as a result. Walked from Lysa Polana but managed to hop on a bus for the short trip to Palenica Bialczanska, from where I walked up the access road to Morskie Oko then onwards and upwards on the clear, way-marked path with some scrambling and chains necessary higher up. Very busy with day-trippers/holidaymakers up to Morskie Oko, and pretty busy all the way to the summit - difficult to find a spare rock to perch on. After reaching the Poland high point (Rysy-North Peak), made the short scramble over the border to the summit of Rysy proper. Same route back down, but took a horse and cart ride back from below Morskie Oko to Palenica Bialcznska and walked to Lysa Polana. |
