Ascent Trip ReportStarted on the east side of Mount Horeb to make a good hike for the morning. I took the Military Ridge Trail to the paved bike path that leads up to Brigham park which is the location of the East Blue Mound. Then I returned back to the Military Ridge Trail and made my way to the Military Ridge Access Trail in Blue Mound State Park. I continued on the Amphitheatre Trail up to the top of the Blue Mound. After a quick stop at the observation tower I returned to the Military Ridge Trail and took it back to Mount Horeb. 20 miles total with 1036 feet gained in 4 hours and 7 minutes. |
