Ascent Trip ReportI departed my home at 4:00 am to drive to the Adirondacks and we arrived at the Seward Range parking lot at 10:30 am. We departed the trail head at 10:45 down the foot path and arrived at the Ward Brook shelter around 12:30 pm. After setting up and having lunch, we headed back down the road 0.7 miles to the turn off onto the Seward unmaintained trail. It started out relatively gradual, but around 3000' it began to get steep, and by 3500' I could tell how out of shape I had become. It took us just over 2 hours to complete the climb and summit our 40th of the 46ers!
