Ascent Trip ReportThis was part of a nice climb in the area around Sky Blue lake, with Daryn Dodge, Aaron Schuman, Steve Eckert, and a few others. I had business travel and so hiked in over New Army Pass from Horseshoe Meadow late in the day. By the time i got to the lake, it was snowing and blowing a fine wind from the Southwest.
Next Day, we got up and did a fine traverse of LeConte, Corcoran, and Mallory in a single day, ending in Arc Pass and then heading down to camp. All in all, a very fine day. We first climbed LeConte, and had a bit of difficulty in finding the route. There was some CL4 on the route. We did have a rope, but only had to use it for a short downclimb.
A very nice and satisfying traverse!
