Ascent Trip ReportI did a two day trip to this summit. Electric biked to Ipsut Creek. Didn't count distance or EG. Originally planned to stay at Dick Creek but it was all reserved. Got a back country permit for the basin north of Old Desolate. This is a dry year. Packed water from a little stream about a half mile north of Lower Moraine Park on the WT. Discovered some spring water in the gully leading up at about 6,200 ft. May dry up later in the year. A couple of very dirty snow patches left in the basin. No other water.
When you approach the slope of OD, you will see an outcropping that looks like the right side has been sheared off. I ascended just to the right of it. The HP of OD is to the right of the sheared off outcropping. The rounded summit seems highest but I also tagged the rocky one to the SW. Summit register needs a pencil.
