Ascent Trip ReportSunny Thursday in July for a hike of Moosilauke and the South Summit. Relatively crowded for a weekday. The Gorge Brook Trail was easy to follow with a slight diversion where it was closed following the last major water crossing.
The summit was very crowded and taking the Carriage Road on the descent to the south summit was a great diversion. The south summit had great views of Mt Cube, Mt Smarts, the Connecticut River and into Vermont. I could make out Camel's Hump far in the distance.
