| Elevation:||4823 ft / 1470 m|
Ascent Trip ReportLeft the parking lot at 7:30am at a slow jog. The trail past the two shelters was easy to follow and only moderately technical. I turned right to follow the trail up the Beckhorn route. Although long and steep, the climb was not all that difficult. The false summit has some great scrambling, and was one of the highlights of the day. From there it was just a short jaunt to the top, where I rested for a few minutes before returning to the Beckhorn and continuing my Dix range loop (Hough, South Dix, East Dix, South Dix again, and Macomb Mountain). I made it back to the car just before 3:30, having bagged five of the 46er's in less than 8 hours. Not a bad day!
