Ascent of Argonaut Peak on 2015-07-12
|Date:||Sunday, July 12, 2015|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||8453 ft / 2576 m|
Ascent Trip ReportWe climbed Argonaut as a carryover: approached via Mountaineers creek, climbed the NW Arete, descended via the east ridge and down Colchuck Glacier. The couloir leading up to the start of the NW Arete no longer connected and we had to do some very questionable unprotected scrambling to get to the saddle. I wouldn't consider the route "in" for the rest of the year.
GPS Track shows approach up to bivy site and descent starting from the summit.
