Ascent of Mont Puget on 2015-07-09
|Date:||Thursday, July 9, 2015|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||1847 ft / 562 m|
Ascent Trip ReportFrom the Cité Université at Luminy, we essentially headed straight for the summit, southwest on small paths. We had to push through many bushes with sharp leaves, like holly. We also had to scramble up some scree. It took 1 hour to go about 1.5 miles from the university to the summit.
Absolutely beautiful view from the summit. Wind was so strong I had to put my glasses in my bag so they wouldn't blow away.
We opted for a gentler way down, so we continued southwest along the ridge and took the path down to "La Candelle" that joins the main route to Les Calanques. The trip down was 4 miles and took about 90 minutes.
