Ascent Trip ReportIt's not really a peak, but it's a natural phenomena in beautiful Sedona, a mountainesque oasis. My wife and I started at the FR152 road parking lot area/trailhead. It was busy already at 7:00 am. We walked up the 1 mile dirt road to the actual signed Devils Bridge trailhead. It's an easy road to walk. From the signed trailhead, we meandered through the wooded uphill trail about 1 mile before reaching the base area of a cliff wall. It's a nice, slightly uphill walk which can be enjoyed with family or kids. At the base area, the trail diverts to head up to the actual bridge or to go to the underside of it. Up follows carved stone steps a short distance to a plateau section. We went up and turned left at the plateau section and walked another short distance to the bridge, which is really a fabulous arch-like structure with fantastic views. It's a sight to see for sure for any level hiker. We walked out onto the top of the arch to the narrow middle section which looks to be only about 8-10' wide. It's the only "be careful" section of the hike, but this is also the perfect picture spot. We awed for a little more at the bridge then returned on the same trail. Popular hike for good reason.
