Ascent Trip ReportDrove up from CT with Will and Addie for a day trip to add Pierce to the peak bag listing. We made it to the parking lot around 9:30am and started out. Crawford Path was a pretty quick trip to the summit. The trail itself required a bit of hopping to dry spots throughout the ascent. Would have been a better call to wear waterproof footwear as we opted to go with light trail shoes so a couple mis-steps resulted in wet socks. Took us about 1.25 hours to get to summit. While there were a few strenuous portions overall it was a very moderate/easy one relative to others. One above treeline temps were much cooler with relatively no visibility due to cloud cover. Spent a few minutes on the peak (clouds lifted for some views which was nice). Hike down was under an hour. |
